Industry: Doula, Postpartum doula, Sleep Coach, Natural Health Expert, Essential Oils Representative

Aloha!  I was born and raised on the North Shore of O’ahu.  I lived in New Zealand for 8 years, where we were blessed to experience two wonderful, natural childbirths under the care of our midwife. Through these experiences and my professional background in the health sector, I became a doula to care for and protect the rights of parents through their pregnancy, birth, and beyond.  My Masters degree is in Public Health, I’m an essential oil educator, and I’ve been a doula for the past 2.5 years.

I offer labor and birth doula services (which includes birth plan preparation, education on natural alternatives, referrals for services, attendance at your birth, etc.) and postpartum doula services (which includes lactation education, newborn care advice, day and night support, infant sleep solutions, postpartum belly wrapping, nutritious meal prep, etc.)

Mãlama is Hawaiian and means, "to care for", "to protect". Having a doula can increase the chances of you experiencing the birth you want. Contact me to book your complimentary consultation to discuss your options for birthing on O’ahu.

Aloha! My name is Kiersten Homalon! I am a Colorado Born woman who chose to leave everything behind and live on The Big Island and ever since I have fallen in love with the Spirit of Aloha! I found the love of my life here on Oahu and we are now married with a growing family of our very own!

I embarked on my certifications and passion after the birth of my daughter Irie. After my husband being absent for the majority of my pregnancy and even after she was born due to deployment, I was left to figure out motherhood out on my own. This made me want to ensure that postpartum women had community. I never wanted another woman to go through the mysterious Postpartum experiences that I had.

I aim to use my education, certifications, and experience to lead women in making educated choices about their postpartum needs extending all the way into toddlerhood of their children.

I believe in creating relationships with my clients that will allow them to reach out to me on a number of bases! I also am blessed to have a wonderful network of birth workers that I am apart of and love referring and connecting women with the specialist that fits them!

I offer Placenta Encapsulation, Lactation Support, Being Kung Belly Binding, Postpartum Meal Prepping (Specialized diets and Vegan Clients welcomed), and Herbal remedies.

Did you know that expecting mothers can get all kinds of back and hip pain during and after pregnancy? Some of which can become long term and progress into more serious issues as time goes on! Pregnancy does not have to be a "pain"! Not like this. We'll stick to "birthing pains" and keep it at that! So, what causes all this unnecessary back and hip pain? I'm glad you asked :). Let's get into the details...

The process of pregnancy and of growing a living, breathing human alters the pressures on the spine, low back & pelvis as the abdomen expands to accommodate the growth of your little developing one. This expansion offsets the way muscles interact around these joints. This, in turn, leads to muscle imbalances, that if not corrected, can lead to back pain, abdominal wall separation, pelvis pain and alignment issues, and a myriad of other issues. North Shore Rehab offers comprehensive & evidence based evaluations and treatments to reduce risk of further injury, to correct present issues and to restore each mother to full pre-pregnancy abilities, whether that's re-entering marathon races, climbing high peaks, surfing the big waves or simply chasing your little ones without pain or limitation! Motherhood is a beautiful privilege; we honor you & find it a great privilege to be of service to you at North Shore Rehab!

Lea Garner   Hi Baby Kailua

I have had the distinct honor of serving the women of Oahu, and their families, as a doula for the past nine years. I have been blessed with four children of my own & they are also an inspiration for my work.
The birth of a child is by far the most important experience a woman will have in her life. It sets the stage for her Life-Season of Motherhood, and is the tangible start of the relationship between Mother & Child.
I am a trained Birth & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth & Lactation Educator. Like the best things in life, I believe my pull to Birth was chosen for me. I foresee spending my lifetime helping women, families and the children they bring into the world.
Like everyone I have very definitive beliefs and truths. It is my security in my own beliefs, that gives me the confidence to work with families of varied backgrounds, religions, and philosophies. I also believe your Family and the Doula you chose must fit like lock and key! Working together in perfect precision!
